Podesta 356 sits flat on the floor without fixings — its own weight holds it, and a fixed plate is a plate that traps damp under it.
It ships on a pallet, standing on edge — the way glass and stone survive a lorry.
It is powder-coated steel: a baked coating on steel, which survives being knocked about far better than wet paint. Nothing in it is glued: the parts that face the fire come out with a screwdriver.
