Scope

These terms apply to all orders placed through zacidite.store by consumers and business customers.

Contract

The presentation of goods is not a binding offer. By placing an order you make a binding offer; the contract is concluded when we confirm the order or dispatch the goods.

Prices and payment

All prices are shown in pounds sterling and are the price you pay for the goods; shipping is added at checkout. Payment is due on ordering, by the means offered at checkout. Goods are dispatched from Norway — for deliveries outside Norway, any import duty, VAT or clearance fee in the destination country is payable by the recipient.

The seller is not registered for VAT. No VAT is charged on these prices and no VAT invoice is issued.

Installation and use

We sell appliances and parts; we do not install them. A solid-fuel appliance must be connected and commissioned by a competent person. In the United Kingdom the installation is notifiable under the Building Regulations (Approved Document J): it must either be carried out by an installer registered with a competent person scheme such as HETAS, or notified to your local authority building control before use.

If the address is in a Smoke Control Area, the Clean Air Act 1993 restricts what may be burned and which appliances may be used. Checking whether your address is in such an area, and what is permitted there, is the customer's responsibility.

Clearances to combustible materials, flue diameters, heat outputs and air supply figures stated on a listing are the design figures published for the product. They do not replace a site survey or the installer's sign-off.

Delivery

Delivery is made to the address you give. Shipping costs and delivery times are set out in the Shipping Policy.

Retention of title

The goods remain our property until paid for in full.

Cancellation and faulty goods

Consumers have a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and the remedies for faulty goods set out in the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Both are described in the Refund Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you also keep the benefit of any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you are resident, and nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
