Optiflam 700 Wide Electric Fire, 1 500 mm

Optiflam 700 gives 2 kW, full-width flame bed, and the flame runs with the heater off — which is how most of these get used from April onwards.

Standby draw is under a watt, which matters for something that stays plugged in all year.

The case is powder-coated steel: a baked coating on steel, which survives being knocked about far better than wet paint. Nothing in it is glued: the parts that face the fire come out with a screwdriver.
