Marnek 656 is rated at 12 kW, single glass front, stated with the casing built as designed rather than with the insert on a bench.
The door runs on adjustable hinges with a compression latch. A door that no longer pulls up tight is the usual reason an insert starts smoking into the room.
The firebox is cast iron: slow to warm and slow to let go, which is the whole argument for cast iron in a room used all evening. Nothing in it is glued: the parts that face the fire come out with a screwdriver.

Care
