Kamvir 511 Insert with Water Jacket, 14 kW

Built for a weekend house that has to come up to temperature in an hour, Kamvir 511 is meant to disappear into the wall and leave nothing visible but fire.

The firebox is cast iron: slow to warm and slow to let go, which is the whole argument for cast iron in a room used all evening.

Every lining panel and the baffle are stock parts — an insert that is built into a wall has to be serviceable from the front, and this one is. It is built to be re-lined rather than replaced.

Care

Clean the glass cold with damp ash on newspaper — it is mildly abrasive and free. Have the flue swept once a season.
