Ignara 889 Outdoor Chiminea

Ignara 889 is an outdoor chiminea, 550 × 1 250 mm — wood, enclosed firebox with flue.

Thickness is where outdoor fires are won: thin steel warps into a dish after one season of hot fires, and this one is heavy enough not to.

Nothing on it is painted where the flame touches — paint on the inside of a fire bowl is a decision you regret the first evening. Firebricks and baffles are wear parts — they are listed as spares and take ten minutes to change.

Care

Tip the ash out after every use, or wet ash will eat the steel from the inside. Cover it if you can; nothing here minds rain otherwise.
