Herdal 316 Fire Poker, 800 mm

Herdal 316 is heavy for its size, which is the difference between moving a log and pushing it around.

It is wrought iron: forged and heavy, with a hammered finish that hides use.

The finish is heat-resistant paint, and it will mark where the metal touches embers — that is the coating doing its job rather than failing. Twenty seasons of use leave the paint tired long before the steel gives up.

Care

Wipe steel with a dry cloth after use; a light wipe of oil once a season keeps forged iron from spotting.
