The flame on Emberra 216 is an LED bed behind a moulded log set, and the brightness and speed are both adjustable.
LED flame beds are the part that dates fastest. The module in this one is a serviceable part rather than a sealed assembly.
The case is powder-coated steel: a baked coating on steel, which survives being knocked about far better than wet paint. The door hinge is adjustable, which is what keeps the seal tight in year eight.
