Built for a low-ceilinged room where a big glass would overheat, Duplex 189 joins with a male-to-female joint and locks with a band clamp.
Seams are welded, not folded. A folded seam is the first thing to open when a flue gets hot enough to move.
Every run needs one cleaning point per bend — plan for it now, because a sweep will insist on it later. The door hinge is adjustable, which is what keeps the seal tight in year eight.
