Bramond 265 Soapstone Wood Stove, 9 kW

Bramond 265 burns from cold to working temperature in about 30 minutes and holds it on two refills an evening.

The door seals on a braided rope gasket in a machined channel. That channel is the part that decides whether a stove still shuts tight after a decade of slamming.

Secondary and tertiary air are pre-heated before they reach the fire, which is what burns the smoke instead of sending it up the flue. Nothing in it is glued: the parts that face the fire come out with a screwdriver.
