Varmio 297 Tall Wood Stove, 8 kW

Varmio 297 is a tall wood stove, 8 kw, 500 × 1 320 × 430 mm, flue 150 mm.

Secondary and tertiary air are pre-heated before they reach the fire, which is what burns the smoke instead of sending it up the flue.

The body is cast iron: slow to warm and slow to let go, which is the whole argument for cast iron in a room used all evening. Nothing in it is glued: the parts that face the fire come out with a screwdriver.

Sweep the flue once a season and check the door rope every autumn: a stove that has started smoking into the room is almost always a seal, not a chimney.
