Stokely 386 Fire Guard, Three-Panel

The handle on Stokely 386 stays cool enough to hold because the steel is drawn thin at the grip.

The finish is heat-resistant paint, and it will mark where the metal touches embers — that is the coating doing its job rather than failing.

It is powder-coated steel: a baked coating on steel, which survives being knocked about far better than wet paint. Twenty seasons of use leave the paint tired long before the steel gives up.
