Stokely 259 Ash Vacuum, 20 l

Stokely 259 is 360 × 560 mm, 20-litre steel drum and made in stainless steel.

The finish is heat-resistant paint, and it will mark where the metal touches embers — that is the coating doing its job rather than failing.

It is stainless steel: it lives with condensate and salt air without pitting, which mild steel does not. Twenty seasons of use leave the paint tired long before the steel gives up.
