Stiglen 823 Tall Wood Stove, 8 kW

Stiglen 823 burns from cold to working temperature in about 20 minutes and holds it on two refills an evening.

The door seals on a braided rope gasket in a machined channel. That channel is the part that decides whether a stove still shuts tight after a decade of slamming.

Secondary and tertiary air are pre-heated before they reach the fire, which is what burns the smoke instead of sending it up the flue. Twenty seasons of use leave the paint tired long before the steel gives up.
