Stiglen 129 Masonry Heater Core, 12 kW
£19,200.00
Stiglen 129 burns from cold to working temperature in about 20 minutes and holds it on two refills an evening.
The door seals on a braided rope gasket in a machined channel. That channel is the part that decides whether a stove still shuts tight after a decade of slamming.
Secondary and tertiary air are pre-heated before they reach the fire, which is what burns the smoke instead of sending it up the flue. Firebricks and baffles are wear parts — they are listed as spares and take ten minutes to change.

Care
Sweep the flue once a season and check the door rope every autumn: a stove that has started smoking into the room is almost always a seal, not a chimney.
