Ravelun 525 Compact Wood Stove, 5 kW

Ravelun 525 is a compact wood stove, 5 kw, 480 × 780 × 400 mm, flue 120 mm.

Secondary and tertiary air are pre-heated before they reach the fire, which is what burns the smoke instead of sending it up the flue.

The body is cast iron: slow to warm and slow to let go, which is the whole argument for cast iron in a room used all evening. Twenty seasons of use leave the paint tired long before the steel gives up.

Care

Sweep the flue once a season and check the door rope every autumn: a stove that has started smoking into the room is almost always a seal, not a chimney.
