Orlenna 227 Complete Insert System with Surround

The glass on Orlenna 227 is 4 mm ceramic, which is the part you look at and the part the heat attacks first.

The door runs on adjustable hinges with a compression latch. A door that no longer pulls up tight is the usual reason an insert starts smoking into the room.

The firebox is steel & cast iron: a steel body heats quickly, the cast iron door and top hold that heat after the fire has burnt down. Twenty seasons of use leave the paint tired long before the steel gives up.
