Ondrek 697 Wood Stove, 7 kW

Ondrek 697 burns from cold to working temperature in about 20 minutes and holds it on two refills an evening.

The flue spigot can be turned to the top or the back on assembly — decide when you see the chimney, not when you order.

The body is soapstone & steel: soapstone stores heat for hours, so the room is still warm long after the last log has gone. The door hinge is adjustable, which is what keeps the seal tight in year eight.

Care

Sweep the flue once a season and check the door rope every autumn: a stove that has started smoking into the room is almost always a seal, not a chimney.
