Mistral 972 Water-Vapour Fire, 1 000 mm

Mistral 972 gives mist flame with no heat, 1.2-litre tank, and the flame runs with the heater off — which is how most of these get used from April onwards.

The heater is a fan element with a thermal cut-out, and the grille is at the top rather than the front — the fire can sit against a low bench without blowing hot air at ankles.

LED flame beds are the part that dates fastest. The module in this one is a serviceable part rather than a sealed assembly. Twenty seasons of use leave the paint tired long before the steel gives up.

Care
