Marnek 225 Grand Three-Sided System, 1 600 mm

Built for a weekend house that has to come up to temperature in an hour, Marnek 225 is meant to disappear into the wall and leave nothing visible but fire.

The firebox is steel & cast iron: a steel body heats quickly, the cast iron door and top hold that heat after the fire has burnt down.

Every lining panel and the baffle are stock parts — an insert that is built into a wall has to be serviceable from the front, and this one is. Firebricks and baffles are wear parts — they are listed as spares and take ten minutes to change.

Care

Clean the glass cold with damp ash on newspaper — it is mildly abrasive and free. Have the flue swept once a season.
