Lindborg 391 Insert with Water Jacket, 14 kW

Lindborg 391 is rated at 14 kW total, 9 kW to the heating circuit, stated with the casing built as designed rather than with the insert on a bench.

The door runs on adjustable hinges with a compression latch. A door that no longer pulls up tight is the usual reason an insert starts smoking into the room.

The firebox is steel & cast iron: a steel body heats quickly, the cast iron door and top hold that heat after the fire has burnt down. Twenty seasons of use leave the paint tired long before the steel gives up.

Care

Clean the glass cold with damp ash on newspaper — it is mildly abrasive and free. Have the flue swept once a season.
