Kominar 125 Fire Poker, 800 mm

Nothing on Kominar 125 is chromed: chrome in front of a fire discolours in one season.

Forged, not cast. A cast poker snaps the first time it is used as a lever, which is what every poker eventually becomes.

The finish is heat-resistant paint, and it will mark where the metal touches embers — that is the coating doing its job rather than failing. Nothing in it is glued: the parts that face the fire come out with a screwdriver.

Care

Wipe steel with a dry cloth after use; a light wipe of oil once a season keeps forged iron from spotting.
