Kolvyn 130 Masonry Heater Core, 12 kW

Built for a weekend house that has to come up to temperature in an hour, Kolvyn 130 takes up to 40 cm logs, which is the length most sellers cut to.

The body is soapstone & steel: soapstone stores heat for hours, so the room is still warm long after the last log has gone.

Secondary and tertiary air are pre-heated before they reach the fire, which is what burns the smoke instead of sending it up the flue. The door hinge is adjustable, which is what keeps the seal tight in year eight.
