Herdal 537 Hearth Brush and Shovel

Built for a show home where the fire is the first thing anyone looks at, Herdal 537 lives beside the fire rather than in a cupboard, so it is finished on every side.

Forged, not cast. A cast poker snaps the first time it is used as a lever, which is what every poker eventually becomes.

The finish is heat-resistant paint, and it will mark where the metal touches embers — that is the coating doing its job rather than failing. It stores dry for years and works the day you need it.

Care

Wipe steel with a dry cloth after use; a light wipe of oil once a season keeps forged iron from spotting.
