Castel 390 Steel Frame Surround

Stone moves with heat and Castel 390 is built for it: the joints are bedded so the surround can expand without cracking.

The hearth comes with it and is cut to sit proud of the opening by the distance a spark can jump.

It is powder-coated steel: a baked coating on steel, which survives being knocked about far better than wet paint. Firebricks and baffles are wear parts — they are listed as spares and take ten minutes to change.

Care

Dust with a dry cloth; on stone use nothing acidic. Seal natural stone once a year if the fire is used daily.
