Castel 181 Steel Frame Surround

Built for a low-ceilinged room where a big glass would overheat, Castel 181 is the part of a fireplace people actually touch.

Natural stone varies — veining, tone and the odd fossil line are the material, not a defect. Two surrounds from the same quarry will not be identical.

The hearth comes with it and is cut to sit proud of the opening by the distance a spark can jump. The door hinge is adjustable, which is what keeps the seal tight in year eight.
