Calenta 901 runs on electronic burner, flame set by remote — no flue, no chimney, and nothing to sweep.
No flue means no heat loss up a chimney, and effectively all of the 3 kW stays in the room — which is also why the room has to be big enough.
The burner body is powder-coated steel: a baked coating on steel, which survives being knocked about far better than wet paint. Twenty seasons of use leave the paint tired long before the steel gives up.
