Brandel 439 Tunnel Insert, See-Through

The glass on Brandel 439 is 5 mm ceramic, which is the part you look at and the part the heat attacks first.

The door runs on adjustable hinges with a compression latch. A door that no longer pulls up tight is the usual reason an insert starts smoking into the room.

The firebox is cast iron: slow to warm and slow to let go, which is the whole argument for cast iron in a room used all evening. The door hinge is adjustable, which is what keeps the seal tight in year eight.

Care
