Bramond 449 Corner Wood Stove, 7 kW
£3,150.00
Built for a renovated barn with six metres to the ridge, Bramond 449 takes 25 cm logs, which is the length most sellers cut to.
The body is cast iron: slow to warm and slow to let go, which is the whole argument for cast iron in a room used all evening.
Secondary and tertiary air are pre-heated before they reach the fire, which is what burns the smoke instead of sending it up the flue. Firebricks and baffles are wear parts — they are listed as spares and take ten minutes to change.

Care
Sweep the flue once a season and check the door rope every autumn: a stove that has started smoking into the room is almost always a seal, not a chimney.
