Ashton 201 Fireplace Tool Set, Five Pieces

Ashton 201 is heavy for its size, which is the difference between moving a log and pushing it around.

It is wrought iron: forged and heavy, with a hammered finish that hides use.

The finish is heat-resistant paint, and it will mark where the metal touches embers — that is the coating doing its job rather than failing. The door hinge is adjustable, which is what keeps the seal tight in year eight.

Care

Wipe steel with a dry cloth after use; a light wipe of oil once a season keeps forged iron from spotting.
